Robin Gunkel, lead producer with Bloom Baltimore, will be giving a talk called 'On the Yin Frontier: Mother Trees, Grandmother Mycelium and the Resurgence of Grandmother Culture.'
Robin is currently pursuing a PhD in Sustainability Education with Prescott College. Since 2009, she has been working as a regional coordinator for Bloom Baltimore, a social and mobilization network for regenerative planetary culture. With Bloom, she has hosted parties, film screenings, and lectures, and for the fourth year in a row, as Creator and Director, has hosted Mushroom City Art Festival: a free, all-ages, educational, and interactive art festival. Additionally, Robin holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics where she studied Creative Writing in Boulder while also living and teaching abroad in Japan.
